Anyone that is 25 years old or older with a valid driver's license in their home country can rent a vehicle from Premium Auto Rentals and drive in Belize.
Driving is on the right, and all distances are expressed in miles, just like in the United States. There are not a lot of traffic lights in Belize, so each town and village relies on a series of speed bumps (known locally as "sleeping policemen") in order to enforce speed limits.
A down-payment of 50% is required when making a vehicle reservation with PREMIUM Auto Rentals.
Cancellations must be made 15 days or more prior to the date of the reservation in order to receive a full refund. Partial refunds are available for cancellations made up to five days before the date of the rental.
